Makeup has always been a way to express yourself. For one evening in Diriyah, it became something else too: an art medium.
On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, Asteri and artist Nouf Al Muneef hosted an intimate Saudi National Day workshop at Base & Boon in Al Zallal, Diriyah. The evening celebrated beauty, art and Saudi creativity, and it marked the launch of a limited-edition set made for the occasion. Here's what happened, what launched, and why it matters to us.
Makeup Meets ِArt
Every guest started with a sketch. Each one was specially prepared and inspired by the artwork of Zaina Al Hizami, ready to be brought to life.
The tools on the table were a little unexpected. Coloring pencils sat beside Asteri makeup products and colorful gems, and guests used all three to turn the sketches into creations of their own.
No two pieces ended up the same, and that was exactly the point. The same sketch, in different hands, became a different story every time.
Art, Self-Expression and Sisterhood
The workshop was built around three ideas: creativity, self-expression and sisterhood.
An intimate setting meant the evening was less about watching and more about making, together. Guests explored their artistic side, side by side, sharing the table, the materials and the moment.
